Is Vainglory shutting down?
In 2019, Vainglory’s original creators Super Evil Megacorp made an agreement with leading game developer Rogue Games to become the publisher of record of Vainglory. Due to the effects of COVID-19 and maintenance costs, Rogue Games announced in April 2020 that it will be closing all non-Chinese servers. Fortunately, Super Evil Megacorp returned to manage the game with the pledge that Vainglory will remain strong. Currently, Rogue Games is officially no longer a part of the game. This event has definitely shaken the community but the game remains steadfast.

Can you explain the Vainglory ranking system for me?
Much like most competitive games, there are two game modes in Vainglory which is normal and ranked. Normal games are commonly referred to as casual and have technically no bearing in one’s Vainglory gaming profile; ranked games, on the other hand, results in player ratings. In ranked, players are matched depending on their rank. A player’s rank can increase or decrease based on wins and performance. Ranks are categorized in 10 tiers with 10 being the highest and 1 being the lowest. Under each tier are three sub-tiers which are bronze, silver, and gold. The game bases your tier through a number system.

Vainglory was launched, first and foremost, as a mobile game. It started with iOS and was later made available for Android.
